Giro di messaggi ai nostri corrispondenti di New York. Tutti hanno ricevuto almeno una dose di vaccino anti COVID-19, alcuni anche la seconda dose. Stanno tutti bene. L’e-mail che incollo qui sotto mi è arrivato da un impresario edile, una cinquantina di anni, corporatura medio-robusta, braccia molto muscolose in quanto sarà anche titolare della sua azienda ma in cantiere ci sta anche lui. Figlio di immigrati colombiani, gran brava persona, bella famiglia.
We are all well. My wife got the Moderna Vaccine last month and had an adverse reaction for two days. We are going in for her second shot today, hopefully she will not have any reaction. I got the J&J shot two weeks ago. The procedure did not go well, since upon the nurse filling the syringe I keep on looking and thinking to myself “WOW All that liquid is going into ME”, So when the nurse proceeded to inject me, my muscles tensed up and the needle did not go in. The nurse yelled at me to RELAX so obviously I got more tense, then she proceeded to inject me the second time and it would not go in, so she stab me with it and I squealed like a little girl. It was embarrassing since about 100 people turned and looked at me. Thank God I got the J&J, since it is a one shot only vaccine.
Dev’essere stata una scena divertente; conoscendo bene il soggetto è la più classica delle situazioni in cui un marcantonio grande e grosso si scopre terrorizzato da una siringa. Conoscendo moglie ed un figlio, temo per lui che lo prenderanno per il culo per molto tempo a venire.
